Fix Branding & Design is a boutique strategic and creative partner to clients wanting to improve their business or their physical environment through branding and design.

The first and most important collaboration is with our client.
It's essential that we 'fit together' well – the first meeting usually establishes whether we're the right fit.

 

We're small, but we manage big projects by partnering with a team of like-minded creatives and suppliers. Finally, we focus on getting the messaging right. We develop the words to describe your offer in a way that resonates with your target audiences.

Strategy

The first step is to write the road map. The Why. What. How. Where to. We also look at sharpening up your offer and structure.

Creative
 

The next step is to create compelling visuals. The look, tone and feel. Think logo, type, imagery, colour and more. The fun stuff!

I was introduced to Penny Bowring, and after a relatively short, provocative, challenging and very insightful conversation, asked Penny to work with us.

The first and most important step is to understand the brief and the spatial and technical constraints. We do a full measure and develop a range of planning options for review.

Interiors

Once the plan is resolved we begin to develop the creative detail including mood boards, colours, materials and finishes and a selection of FF&E.

Detail

Finally, we document the designs with detailed elevations and specifications and prepare a package for tender.

Penny Bowring

Running one of the country's major branding design practices for 17 years, Penny has worked with some of Australia's biggest brands, architects and designers.

She has been Project Director, Strategist and Creative Director on many integrated branding and communications projects for some of Australia's leading organisations and events. Notable examples include management of Macquarie Bank's brand for eight years,  UTS for six years, City of Sydney for seven years.
 
 

Penny established Fix Branding in 2003. 

 

Since moving to Canberra from Sydney in 2015 she has been more actively involved in designing environments with a focus on residential design.
 
She also is Chair of the board of Plumtree, a large not-for-profit that helps children with disability and developmental delay. 
 
She brings the wisdom of her 35 years' experience along with a serious passion for brand building and design.

We can manage every aspect and touch point of your project, or just a few elements. Ours is not a cookie cutter approach. It's bespoke – tailor made to suit your needs.

We establish the process and approach at the beginning, we agree the fee, and we put together a realistic timetable. The project is staged, typically as per the diagram below. Each stage has a clearly defined fee so you know exactly where you are at throughout the process.
